London Borough of Hackney

HCTC is working with Hackney’s Parks and Green Spaces Department to provide new tennis courts and to refurbish existing courts. The aim is for more children and adults to have access to quality facilities.

We are also trying to increase the number of floodlit courts so that tennis can be a year round sport in the borough.

A new clubhouse is planned for Clissold Park and access to toilet and storage facilities is planned for all the borough’s courts.

• Provide quality training for all levels of ability from beginners to performance players.
• Provide competitive opportunities across the borough.
• Develop Community tennis clubs.

The slogan for the Tennis Foundation is ONE GAME ALL.

The Foundation believes that tennis should be accessible for all - a game for everyone with no barriers to participation.

The Tennis Foundation is responsible for the management of a sustainable inclusive tennis delivery for all age groups across all Local Authority tennis facilities. This includes parks, leisure centres and indoor facilities located on Local Authority land.

The Foundation's responsibility also extends to the whole of the education sector, and to disability development and performance.
