Summer 2008
Best ever Summer for HCTC
Hackney City Tennis Club juniors have had their most
successful summer season ever. Players, ranging in age
from 6 – 16, have competed in a huge number of
tournaments, from mini red level to grade 2 nationals,
within Middlesex, and across the country. The players
have a total of an amazing 39 wins in tournaments and 21
runner’s up places between them.
Most of them can be seen showing off their medal

All Clissold Park Final at Queen's Club.
Lucas Taylor
became the first player ever from HCTC to raise a county
trophy at the Middlesex County Closed event. He won the
10U Boys competition in convincing style when he took on
fellow club mate Jac Davies in the final. It was a
fantastic achievement to have 2 of the club’s players in
the final of this high level event.

Lucas Taylor reaches Solihull International
Finals.
Following in the footsteps of
Andy Murray (who won the tournament 3 times) Lucas
Taylor reached the finals of the 10U Boys Solihull

Park Girls 12 and Under Tennis Team had a terrific win
at the weekend in the Regional Play-off of the Junior

Lucas and Jac score Grand Prix Success.
Lucas Taylor notched up
another great win on the national tennis circuit by
